HARI OM,

Sleeping patterns differ for different people. Some sleep early at night whereas some are unable to sleep properly. Those are blessed who get proper sleep during the night!

There are also some cases where certain people find themselves waking up during odd hours of the night, mainly between 3-5 AM.

Many wake up every night at the same time without an alarm clock, which can be a point of concern. We are human beings and several universal energies flow within and around us of which we are unaware.

Waking up in the middle of the night causes disturbance to your sleep schedule, but during that time, your body is trying to communicate something. It is the symptom of spiritual awakening.
Your body is not trying to frustrate you, but connect you to the divine or great power. These are the messages from divine power to you.

Let’s understand the time slots wherein your body is trying to communicate something:

Not sleeping between 9 PM to 11 PM

If you face difficulty in falling asleep during 9 PM to 11 PM, then it indicates excessive stress and worries from the day. If you are struggling from this kind of sleep disorder in your life, then you need to do meditation, chant positive mantras and attain relaxation through regular practice of Yoga for better sleep. It can reduce your stress level and make you feel relaxed and refreshed.

Waking up between 11 PM to 1 AM

If you wake up during this time slot, then you have some emotional disappointments in your life. If you are experiencing abnormal mood swings, your gallbladder is the first organ getting affected by this. In case you go to the bathroom during this time, it is a clear indication of something missing in your life that is causing disappointments. You need to practice writing down positive thoughts and implementing them throughout the day to overcome this sleep disorder.

Waking up between 1 AM to 3 AM

If you are waking up between 1 AM to 3 AM, it indicates that you are angry about something. It is a temporary emotion, and ultimately, you will get back to the same situation without any relief. If you are angry, then your liver gets the most affected. If you want to take care of this sleep disorder, you need to do meditation before going to bed.

Waking up between 3 AM to 5 AM

If you are waking up between 3 AM to 5 AM, it indicates that you are trying to connect to the divinity through spirituality. You enter into a different dimension and no longer remain the same person as your soul gets transformed completely. The energy runs through the lungs and emotions of sadness. If you wake up during this time frame every night, you are connecting yourself to the Divine as you would receive messages sent by the Divine power to transform them into energy. Some believe that you are in the process of awakening your kundalini or spiritual awakening.

You should learn how to in tune with your body to receive messages delivered by the Divine in order to improve yourself mentally and physically.

Waking up between 5 AM to 7 AM

If you are waking up between 5 AM to 7 AM, it indicates that some kind of emotions have been blocked by you. This means that energy flow within you is blocked; hence you are unable to sleep properly. It is preventing you from taking the rest that you need and affecting your lower intestine area.

Waking up randomly in the middle of sleep

In the era driven by technology, a lot of people find themselves waking up randomly in the middle of the night. While this could be due to various factors, the leading cause of this is Mobile Phones and Social Media. While both are meant to enhance connectivity and have a positive impact on people, the truth could not be farther from this. Today, mobile phones, and especially social media, are causing extreme anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, jealousy and suspicion among partners. This is precisely why so many people are waking up to check their mobile phones – either to check the activity of their partners or children, or to know what exciting is happening in the lives of other people while they are “wasting” their time sleeping, or to see if they have received any messages or posts, or to just check their accounts as a habit.

This is such a destructive habit as people are spending their entire day checking their social media presence and that of others every 10 minutes and this habit creeps into their sleep state as well. This has absolutely no positive impact as all that you need to check online, can be checked in the morning. In fact, none of it really needs your attention – social media activity is only to supplement real life associations and interests and not the goal of one’s life! The negative impact of such a habit of waking up in the middle of the night to check the mobile phone is that it is not letting your mind rest. Even during your allocated sleep time, your mind is partially focused on social media and just in case you see something exciting or upsetting when you log in, it takes away the possibility of going back to sleep.

This is growing as a cause of concern and only you have the power to control this habit – better late than never!
